Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Scientist to support an automated laboratory, contribute to new product development and process improvements at our Singapore office. You will design and run experiments, analyze data, and help drive product innovation within a collaborative team.

The role requires hands-on experience with physical equipment, safety mindset, and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• Experience with physical lab equipment and processes.
• Ability to translate data into insights for product development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and execution of experiments and lab processes for new product development and process research.
• Support data analysis and summarize findings for senior staff and project leaders.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure experiments comply with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Document all research activities with accuracy per company standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and share insights.
• Verify instrumentation, process controls, and safety interlocks for reliable operation.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics,Automation, Instrumentation, Chemical, Bioengineering
