Job summary

ASA VERTEX (E&C) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead workplace safety, health and environmental (HSE) programs across operations in Singapore.

The role ensures compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, company policies and safe work procedures. You will conduct inspections, risk assessments and safety audits, identify hazards, and implement control measures. You will also investigate incidents, conduct trainings and liaise with authorities to foster a zero-accident

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental, Engineering or related discipline.
• Recognised WSH/Safety qualification with relevant experience in Singapore; MOM registration, ECO/ FSM certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor operations.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and risk management requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Able to conduct safety inspections, investigations and training independently; shift duties may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain effective HSE policies, procedures and programmes.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, MOM requirements and other applicable regulations.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and HSE training for employees and supervisors.
• Monitor contractors and workers to ensure safe practices and proper PPE usage.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, risk assessments, permits and documentation.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuously improve safety performance.
• Liaise with management, clients, contractors and authorities on HSE matters.
• Advise supervisors and workers on safe work practices and timely closure of safety findings.
