HSE Engineer – Shipyard Compliance & Safety Lead

Job summary

PaxOcean Singapore seeks a dedicated HSE professional to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry codes across all yard operations. The role focuses on governance, incident prevention, and continuous safety improvements in a busy shipyard environment.

You will serve as a liaison with authorities, implement the Safety Management System, and promote a culture of safety through trainings and audits to achieve an accident-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or relevant engineering field from recognised institute.
• Diploma in engineering field from recognised institute.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in the shipyard industry (for non graduates).

Responsibilities

• To carry out implementation of HSE Policy and requirements as established within PaxOcean’s Safety Management System for the purpose of ensuring yard operations are in compliance to all requirements as established by relevant authorities.
• To carry out enforcement of local regulatory requirements from relevant authorities and international best practices from relevant standards on all operations within PaxOcean’s premises.
• To promote safety awareness & culture amongst the workforce through trainings and other HSE activities to achieve an accident-free and healthy work environment.
• To assist organization in achieving higher standard of HSE performance.
• To liaise with external parties and other governmental bodies pertaining HSE matters.

Education
