Job summary

PaxOcean Group in Singapore is seeking an HSE professional to ensure legal compliance and a safe work environment across assigned projects. The role supports the HSE Head through program implementation, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

The successful candidate will engage with regulatory bodies, coordinate emergency response efforts, and serve on safety committees, contributing to continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Qualifications

• Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in marine/shipyard/Oil & Gas industries.
• Diploma/Degree in any Engineering field or related discipline.
• Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Diploma in Environmental Health & Safety or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Ensure legal compliance for activities within the relevant regulatory framework and PaxOcean’s HSE Management System
• Support HSE Manager to implement and execute HSE Programs & Initiatives
• Plan, conduct and participate in audits to identify potential areas of improvement and best practices.
• Organise and conduct regular HSE site inspections with all relevant stakeholders and follow up on all identified non-conformances
• Function as a safety assessor as per relevant regulatory requirements
• Function as a Site Incident Controller (SIC) and lead the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) during emergency situations
• To serve as secretary for the Vessel Safety Coordination Committee (VSCC) for all assigned projects
• Initiate and conduct investigation for the purpose of identifying root causes upon any occurrences
• Liaise with relevant authorities as point of contact representing PaxOcean
• Any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by HSE Head
