Job summary

Tencent is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist & Culture Intern to join our team and support HR operations and culture initiatives across the organization. You will get hands-on experience in onboarding, engagement programs, training administration, and HR data management.

You will work closely with global teams and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders at our headquarters in China, assisting in communication materials and event planning while developing a foundation in people practices and culture

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Prior HR internship experience would be a plus.
• Available to start immediately or from December 2026.
• Strong interest in HR management, organizational culture, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Participate in onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for them in the organization as well as offboarding activities.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of employee engagement and culture-building initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work environment including team‑building activities, local festivals, wellness programs, and recognition events.
• Assist in training operations including the liaison with internal and external stakeholders, training administration and logistics preparation and facilitation.
• Play an active role in maintaining and updating HR databases, employee records, and organizational charts.
• Assist in gathering HR metrics and data to support reporting and analysis of HR trends and performance.
• Prepare internal communications material including but not limited to EDMs and posters.

• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin is required, as the role regularly involves participating in meetings and reviewing written materials in both languages with global teams and with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders at our headquarters in China.
