Job summary

MERCURE SINGAPORE BUGIS is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to provide courteous service and maintain cleanliness across public areas and guestrooms. You will supervise room attendants, ensure compliance with cleanliness standards, and collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires the ability to multitask, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or higher with 1-2 years relevant work experience.
• Able to motivate staff, lead and guide a team.
• Competent in MS Office applications.
• Able to multi-task and detail oriented.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Able to work shift, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness of public areas and guestrooms, maximizing guest satisfaction.
• Assign and supervise room attendants; inspect guest rooms and service areas for conformance.
• Maintain international cleanliness standards and product maintenance per hotel requirements.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Adhere to fire, hygiene, health and safety policies of the hotel.
• Keep records of activities such as Lost and Found, inventory, and rooming lists.
• Attend to guest requests and complaints and provide feedback when necessary.

Basic Responsibilities

• To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
• To ensure the cleanliness of public areas, guestrooms, and ensure maximum guest satisfaction, adhering to the standard required by our hotel.
• To assign Room Attendants their duties, supervise and inspect guest rooms and surround service areas for conformance and ensure compliant.
• To pay attention to details by keeping the international standard of room cleanliness and product maintenance adhering to standard required by our hotel.
• To maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues, and all other departments.
• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Maintain proper record of activities/events such as Lost and Found, Inventory, rooming lists, any housekeeping records.
• Attend to guest request and complaints and provide guest with feedback, when necessary.
