Job summary

MCS UNITED GROUP HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. is seeking an organised housekeeping manager to lead staff management, scheduling, and quality control across guest rooms and public areas.

You will train new hires, review VIP arrivals, coordinate with the front desk in real time, and ensure strict hygiene and safety standards are upheld. This role also oversees inventory, reports maintenance issues to engineering, and steps in to assist during staff shortages to maintain service levels.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily cleaning tasks and room sections to room attendants.
• Create staff schedules, manage shift replacements, and track attendance.
• Conduct daily team briefings for VIP arrivals and priorities.
• Train new hires and refresh training on cleaning protocols.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas using strict quality checklists.
• Report maintenance defects to the engineering department and follow up on repairs.
• Monitor par stock levels for linens, towels, guest amenities, and cleaning chemicals.
• Coordinate room status updates with the front desk in real-time.

• Train new hires and provide ongoing refresher training on cleaning protocols and equipment use

Quality Control & Inspections

• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using strict quality checklists.

• Ensure all areas comply with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

• Report maintenance defects—like broken fixtures or plumbing issues—to the engineering department and follow up on repairs.

• Step in to clean rooms or assist the team directly during severe staff shortages

Quality Control & Inspections

• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using strict quality checklists.

• Ensure all areas comply with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

• Report maintenance defects—like broken fixtures or plumbing issues to the engineering department and follow up on repairs.

Inventory & Logistics

• Monitor par stock levels for linens, towels, guest amenities, and cleaning chemicals.

• Conduct regular inventory counts and submit supply orders as needed.

• Distribute equipment and supplies to staff at the start of shifts.

• Manage lost and found items according to hotel policy

Guest Relations & Administration

• Respond to guest complaints regarding housekeeping services and resolve issues quickly.

• Coordinate room status updates (clean, dirty, or inspected) with the front desk in real-time.
