Job summary

Hotel BENCOOLEN COMPANY (PRIVATE) LIMITED is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained to a high standard, supporting daily operations with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs for a safe and pleasant guest experience.

You will respond to maintenance requests from Front Office and Housekeeping, document activities, and assist external contractors while maintaining records and stock levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related field.
• Relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance on hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests with minimal guest disruption.
• Diagnose and repair issues such as air-conditioning, lighting, plumbing, furniture, and door hardware.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and inventory levels.
• Support safety checks, fire safety, and compliance with hotel policies.
• Supervise external contractors and coordinate repair works with vendors.
