Job summary

Raffles Hotel Singapore is seeking a Facilities Technician to support daily engineering operations, ensuring comfortable temperatures, clean water, hot water, and reliable television, satellite, and audio-visual services for guests and events.

You will handle preventive maintenance, respond to outages, inspect safety, and assist in emergencies, working with a team to uphold Accor values and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Nitec Certificate in Building Facilities Maintenance, Electrical / Electronics, Air conditioning servicing and/or Plumbing.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to maintain comfortable room temperatures in hotel areas.
• Operates equipment to deliver clean water to hotel services.
• Operates equipment to deliver hot water to services as required.
• Operates TV and satellite equipment to guest suites as required.
• Provides audio visual support for hotel events.
• Assists and supports the emergency operations team during incidents.
• Rectifies equipment and facilities breakdowns as required.
• Replaces faulty components / lighting bulbs as required.
• Responds to technical issues from hotel patrons promptly.
• Collects daily utilities meter readings and verifies plant/equipment operations.
• Patrols hotel grounds to verify fire and safety risks and lighting timings.
• Operates plant facilities to support hotel operations.
• Rectifies / repairs damaged furniture and paints surfaces to high quality.
• Operates elevators, dumbwaiters, pools, fountains and related systems as required.
