Job summary

TutorJohn Learning Centre in Singapore is seeking a full-time Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to Primary and Secondary students, using our in-house curriculum to uphold consistent quality.

You will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, contribute to curriculum development, and support holiday programmes and enrichment classes while collaborating with a friendly teaching team. The role offers a 5-day work week with afternoon and evening hours consistent with school calendars.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Strong academic background in the subjects taught.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, patient, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tuition classes for Primary and Secondary students.
• Prepare and deliver lessons using TutorJohn's in-house curriculum.
• Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor students’ progress and identify areas needing support.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with parents regarding student performance.
• Assist in lesson planning and curriculum development.
• Support holiday programmes and enrichment classes.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and centre events.
• Maintain a positive, organized classroom environment.

Job Summary

As a Full-Time Tutor at TutorJohn Learning Centre, you will deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and contribute to curriculum development to support student success in Primary and Secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging tuition classes for Primary and Secondary students to enhance learning outcomes
• Prepare and deliver lessons using TutorJohn's in-house curriculum and teaching materials to ensure consistent quality
• Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback to guide student improvement
• Monitor students’ academic progress and identify areas requiring additional support
• Maintain clear and timely communication with parents regarding student performance when required
• Assist in lesson planning, curriculum enhancement, and development of teaching resources to improve instructional effectiveness
• Support school holiday programmes, revision workshops, and enrichment classes to extend learning opportunities
• Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and centre events to foster collaboration and professional growth
• Maintain a positive, organised, and professional classroom environment conducive to learning

Required competencies and certifications

Working Hours

• 5-Day Work Week
• Weekdays: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
• Weekends (where applicable): Morning/Afternoon classes
• One weekday and one weekend day off (subject to operational needs)

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: S$3,300 - S$4,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
