Job summary

XTX Markets invites a software engineer to join the Exchange Trading Development (ETD) team, building and maintaining the firm’s proprietary trading technology. We translate Quant Research ideas into practical software solutions using suitable technologies, focusing on low-latency, scalable systems.

All development operates in Linux; main tools include C++ and Python, with occasional work in FPGA/GPU. Strong C++ knowledge and CPU fundamentals are essential; prior finance knowledge is not

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 onwards).
Understanding of CPU execution, caching, paging and system calls.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain trading technology on the ETD team.
Turn Quant Research ideas into runnable software.
Design infrastructure and choose hardware to run on.
Ensure systems are ready for automated trading on exchanges.

CPU architecture knowledge
