Job summary

XTX Markets is hiring a software engineer for the ETD trading development team to build and maintain its proprietary trading technology. The role involves turning quantitative ideas from the Quant Research team into fast, reliable software that processes market data and dispatches orders in an automated environment.

Most work uses C++ and Python, with opportunities to explore FPGA and GPU programming. You will design scalable systems that run uninterrupted and optimise cross-domain performance

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 onwards) with performance focus.
• Deep understanding of CPU execution, caching, paging and system calls.
• Grasp of data structures, algorithms and runtime trade-offs.
• Experience designing complex, long-running software systems.
• Linux proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join the ETD software team to build and maintain trading technology.
• Translate quantitative ideas into robust, low-latency software.
• Design infrastructure and select hardware to optimise performance.
• Ensure systems run reliably for continuous automated trading.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver cross-domain optimisations.
