Job summary

Empower Partners Singapore is seeking a hands-on technology leader to own the architecture and delivery of its next-generation, low-latency trading platform. You will lead core and platform engineering teams while contributing to critical design, code, and performance decisions.

This role suits an engineering leader from traditional finance HFT, ideally with deep equities trading experience. You will own end-to-end platform architecture, drive high-performance systems, and mentor engineers

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience building or optimizing production low-latency systems in traditional finance HFT, preferably in equities.
• Deep understanding of trading infrastructure including market data, pricing, risk, OMS/EMS, and exchange connectivity.
• Experience leading specialist engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
• Track record of making sound architectural decisions and delivering complex trading systems.

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the trading platform, from market data and pricing through pre-trade risk, order management, execution and positions.
• Lead the design and delivery of high-performance systems supporting trading across global markets.
• Write and review critical code, resolve complex latency and reliability issues, and set technical standards.
• Manage and mentor engineers across core trading systems, platform engineering and infrastructure.
• Set priorities, manage dependencies and drive delivery across the full trading stack.
• Work closely with traders and quants to translate trading requirements into reliable production systems.

Work Experience and Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience building or optimizing production low-latency systems in traditional finance HFT, preferably in equities.
• Deep programming expertise in C++, Rust or another high-performance language.
• Strong end-to-end understanding of trading infrastructure, including market data, strategy and pricing systems, risk, OMS/EMS, exchange connectivity and production operations.
• Experience leading specialist engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
• A track record of making sound architectural decisions and delivering complex trading systems.
