Job summary

Vac-Tech Engineering Pte Ltd is hiring a Heavy Truck Operator to perform driving duties to and/or in clients' premises and across Singapore. You will work closely with the Truck Attendant and assist in setting up pumps, pipes or other related equipment for waste collection.

Responsibilities include planning safe routes, maintaining truck cleanliness, ensuring safety compliance, and performing ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Class 4 and/or Class 5 driving licences with good traffic record.
• Familiar with Singapore roads and navigate using maps.
• Bilingual with good communication and writing skills.
• Comfortable working with NTS associates.

• Drive to client locations and/or across Singapore.
• Assist in setting up the pump, pipes or other related equipment for waste collection.
• Plan safe routes for assigned duties/tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck on a daily basis.
• Ensure that the truck is well maintained and meets safety requirements.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Truck Attendant and assist in setting up the pump, pipes or other related equipment for waste collection

• Plan route effectively to ensure safest route for assigned duties/tasks

• Upkeep and cleanliness of the truck on daily basis

• Ensure that the truck is well maintained and meet all safety requirements

• Perform any ad hoc duties assigned by superior

About you

• Minimum Secondary education

• At least 2 years of driver experience (Fresh graduates also welcome to apply)

• Must possess valid Class 4 and/or Class 5 Driving licence with good traffic record

• Familiar with Singapore roads and navigate with maps

• Possess valid training certificates for SWSHPP/AWSHPP/OPISC and/or HazMat (advantageous)

• Bilingual and possess good communication and writing skills

• Comfortable to work with NTS associates

• Attentive, reliable, punctual and safety conscious (operations and road)

• Must be willing to work in Jurong Island

• Must be willing to work nightshift and overtime on weekend and public holidays
