Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Healthcare Attendant to assist with patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses at the hospice.

The role involves helping with daily living activities, mobility, vital signs, and meal support, while maintaining infection control and a clean environment. Ideal candidates have a minimum GCE O level or healthcare assistant certificate, and at least 2 years of relevant experience with a compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong teamwork and

• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and provide care support under supervision of Registered Nurses.

• Support patient mobility, including transfers and repositioning.
• Provide van escort assistance for patient transportation to and from the Hospice.

Job description

Responsibilities for Healthcare Attendant:

• Ensure patient safety and provide care support under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, oral care, nail care, and elimination needs.
• Support patient mobility, including transfers, repositioning, and mobilisation as required.
• Provide van escort assistance to support patient transportation to and from the Hospice.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Support patients’ dietary needs by assisting with meal ordering, serving meals and beverages, and feeding assistance when required.
• Manage food pantry operations, including food storage, stock monitoring, and ensuring food safety standards.
• Maintain infection control standards through proper hand hygiene, waste disposal, standard precautions, and isolation practices.
• Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, documentation, and filing.
• Observe and promptly report patients’ conditions and changes to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised patient care environment.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
• Keep updated with relevant healthcare guidelines and continuously develop job‑related skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse, or Day Care Manager.
