Key Responsibilities

Direct Resident Care

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and incontinence care with respect and privacy.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with facility policies.
• Assist with dining, including feeding support, encouragement, and monitoring for safety.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in a resident’s physical, cognitive, or emotional condition to the supervising nurse.

Resident Well-being & Engagement

• Foster meaningful relationships through conversation, active listening, and companionship.
• Encourage and assist residents to participate in scheduled activities and social events.
• Respond to call lights and resident requests promptly and courteously.

Environmental & Safety Duties

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe resident environment (rooms, common areas).
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as changing bed linens, tidying rooms, and managing laundry.
• Follow all infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of PPE.
• Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Document care provided and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
