Job summary

ws engineering & fabrication pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced SCM leader to develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy for complex projects in Singapore. You will oversee procurement, expediting, logistics and material management to meet project objectives.

Collaborating with Engineering, Project Management and Construction teams, you will drive supplier performance, risk management and cost-saving initiatives while building a high-performing multidisciplinary SCM team.

Job description

• Develop and implement the overallSCM strategy, policies, procedures and processesaligned with business and project objectives.
• Lead and manageprocurement, purchasing, expediting, logistics and material managementactivities.
• Develop procurement plans and sourcing strategies for projects and operational requirements.
• Lead thepre-qualification, evaluation, selection and performance management of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage commercial negotiations, purchase orders, contracts, payment terms and supplier agreements.
• Oversee logistics activities including transportation, customs clearance, import/export documentation, warehousing and site delivery.
• Ensure materials and equipment are delivered in accordance withproject specifications, quality requirements, budget and schedule.
• Work closely withEngineering, Project Management, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, Finance and Operationsteams to resolve supply-chain issues.
• Identify and manage supply-chain risks, including supplier capacity, delivery delays, price escalation, logistics constraints and material shortages.
• Drivecost reduction, value engineering, sourcing optimization and procurement savingsinitiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree inSupply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administrationor a related discipline.

• Typically15+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Engineering, Construction or related industries.

• Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience leading and developing a multidisciplinary SCM team.
