Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced quality leader to drive company-wide software quality governance, assurance and engineering excellence.

You will own the Quality Management System, establish standards and governance, and embed quality across the SDLC in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Design, Security and Support teams. In this role you will lead QA/QC functions, implement metrics and controls, manage release governance and risk, and mentor the quality organization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading QA/QC functions and establishing organisation-wide quality governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and software engineering practices.
• Experience developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality standards, processes and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-generated code governance, AI-powered testing or AI product quality assurance would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including quality policies, standards, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Establish quality standards, controls, checkpoints and quality gates across the SDLC.
• Define and implement quality assurance processes and engineering standards to ensure consistent product quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, defect prevention and root cause analysis to strengthen overall engineering quality.
• Lead quality assurance practices across requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing and release.
• Oversee application testing activities, including test strategy, test coverage, test automation, performance testing and defect management.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics to identify gaps, assess risks and drive improvements.
• Ensure quality requirements are incorporated into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Establish and maintain release management, change control and emergency change governance.
• Identify and manage software quality risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure compliance with established quality standards and release criteria.
• Translate technical quality issues into business risks and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Establish governance frameworks for AI-generated code and AI-powered product testing.
• Define evaluation, regression testing and quality controls to ensure the reliability, safety and consistency of AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the quality organisation across QA, application testing and test automation.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, Security and Support teams to embed quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Oversee quality-related budgets, tools, dashboards, metrics and external vendor management.

This role will oversee Quality Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, ensuring that software products and engineering solutions meet high standards of reliability, security, compliance and performance.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS), establish quality standards and governance frameworks, and drive quality throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Security and Support teams to embed quality practices into development processes, testing and release management.

Salary Package: Up to 12k (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities

Quality Governance & Management

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Software Testing or Engineering Quality Management.
• Proven experience leading QA/QC functions and establishing organisation-wide quality governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies and software engineering practices.
• Experience developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality standards, processes and governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test automation, performance testing and defect management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality gates into software development and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with release management, change control, risk management and root cause analysis.
• Experience managing quality metrics, dashboards, budgets, testing tools and external vendors.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence technical and business teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical quality risks and their business impact to senior management.
• Exposure to AI-generated code governance, AI-powered testing or AI product quality assurance would be an advantage.
