Job summary

Royal Bank of Scotland seeks a Head of Product Control & Treasury to lead Product Control, Treasury, Finance Risk & Control, and Outsourcing governance across APAC. You will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure robust governance and regulatory compliance, and support business growth.

This role partners with senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, Risk, Operations and Treasury to shape Finance in APAC, including ALCO oversight and automation initiatives.

Join us as Head of Product Control & Treasury

Lead Product Control, Treasury, Finance Risk & Control, and Internal Service Management and Outsourcing across APAC.

You'll provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, and effective balance sheet management while supporting business growth.

This is an opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, Risk, Operations and Treasury, helping shape the future direction of Finance in APAC.

What you'll do

As Head of Product Control & Treasury, you'll be responsible for maintaining a strong financial and operational control environment across Singapore and Japan. You'll provide leadership, oversight and challenge across Product Control, Treasury, Risk & Control, and outsourced service arrangements, ensuring compliance with local regulatory and Group requirements.

As well as this you'll:

• Provide oversight of daily and monthly P&L reporting, valuation controls, reserves governance, and new product approvals, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results.
• Deliver financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Lead APAC Treasury activities, including balance sheet, capital, funding and liquidity management, while overseeing ALCO governance and treasury regulatory requirements.
• Drive effective Finance Risk & Control governance across APAC, embedding a robust control framework and supporting audit, regulatory and risk management activities.
• Maintain oversight of outsourced service providers and shared service teams, ensuring service performance, regulatory compliance and effective issue resolution.
• Champion the Finance AI and simplification agenda by driving automation, process efficiency, enhanced reporting and improved data insights.

The skills you'll need

You'll bring significant experience from a banking or financial services environment, along with strong knowledge of financial markets products, treasury management, risk and control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

We'll also look for:

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, Risk and Treasury.
• Experience overseeing Product Control, Treasury, Finance Control or related functions within a regulated banking environment.
• A strong understanding of governance, balance sheet management, regulatory compliance and operational risk.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues and clear and effective.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
