Regional Treasurer – APAC

Checkout.com is actively looking for an experienced, driven and commercially minded Regional Treasurer to lead the Treasury team across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the 12‑person Treasury team across Singapore and Tokyo offices.
• Provide strategy, direction and oversight for all Treasury activities across APAC within the Group framework.
• Act as the senior contact and escalation point for senior management and regional stakeholders.
• Lead the APAC ALCO, represent Treasury in the APAC Risk Committee and provide regular updates to legal entity boards across the region.
• Represent APAC requirements and influence global decision‑making and frameworks as a member of the global Treasury leadership team.
• Partner with the APAC Commercial leadership team to drive long‑term business growth in the region.
• Work closely with leadership in Legal, Underwriting, Risk and other functions to develop solutions and drive process improvement and optimisation for Treasury, stakeholders and clients.
• Utilise corporate banking & FinTech partners to optimise regional balances, liquidity and available funds for investment and revenue.
• Collaborate with the FP&A function to plan operational & capital investment requirements.
• Oversee multi‑currency processing, settlement and payout activities, and optimise FX trading and execution.
• Manage hedging to mitigate financial risks and foreign‑exchange positions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day Treasury funding, client settlements and reconciliations.
• Own regional and local banking strategy.
• Contribute to product roadmaps for the APAC region with relevant requirements and features.

About You

• 15+ years of experience across financial institutions, including managing a Treasury team in an international setup.
• Experience working with senior management, sales, clients and a multitude of stakeholders.
• Confidence in synthesising and presenting relevant information to a senior audience.
• Financial modelling and analytics experience.
• Highly analytical, strategic thinker with strong judgement and foresight.
• Track record managing a fast‑growing team with a range of skillsets.
• Experience overseeing controls and mitigating operational and financial risk.
• Experience in Payments (Acquiring/Issuing) desirable but not required.
