Job summary

Dyson seeks a strategic Head of Software Delivery (NPD Product Insights) to shape next-generation digital initiatives. You will lead a globally distributed team across Singapore and the UK, aligning data-driven product insights with enterprise IT and business needs.

You will drive the ideation, scoping, and delivery of data-driven programs, ensure governance, security, and compliance, and foster innovation across Dyson's product lifecycle. Travel between Singapore and the UK will be required.

About the Role

Dyson is investing in data-driven insights as a core enabler to design, enhance, and optimize world-renowned products. As our Head of Software Delivery (NPD Product Insights), you will play a pivotal role in shaping Dyson's next-generation digital initiatives that put our customers at the centre, provide functional insights to the business, and foster innovation across all touchpoints.

Leading a globally distributed team based in Singapore and the UK, you will spearhead the ideation, scoping, and delivery of data-driven initiatives, in collaboration with cross-functional teams across IT and Business Functions. This role demands a strategic thinker, a technical innovator, and an experienced leader passionate about leveraging data to push the boundaries of product development.

A key part of the role will be navigating a matrixed stakeholder landscape, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of diverse teams and Business Functions. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, and keeping abreast of relevant technological developments and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

• Facilitate implementation of the strategy and roadmap, covering owner experience, consumer products portfolio as well as enterprise initiatives being implemented, ensuring alignment with the company's broader product development goals.
• Build and lead high-performing product and programme management teams across Singapore and the UK, overseeing consumer and enterprise data initiatives in service of the strategic initiatives fostering collaboration and growth.

Collaboration with Business, Product and Enterprise IT Teams:

• Champion the translation of data-driven initiatives including product, business and customer needs into scalable data-driven solutions covering Embedded Software, Application Software, Cloud capabilities led by the NPD function, as well as Enterprise IT systems led by the CIO function. Proactively engage with a range of stakeholders to collect, document, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research & Development teams to integrate data into the product lifecycle.
• Together with IT, coordinate cross-functional teams to plan and execute data-driven initiatives from the inception stage, through to delivery and support.

Customer Data Product and Programme Management:

• Establish, track, and report on Product and Programme key performance indicators related to the data-driven initiatives.
• Enable the development of insight-driven tools and products for continuous improvement, performance optimization, and intelligent diagnostics of Dyson products.
• Facilitate feedback collection from users and stakeholders and drive continuous improvement for these tools and products.

Innovation and Insights:

• Drive innovation using data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
• Build the organization's capability in predictive and pre ive analytics to guide decision-making.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure governance and best practices around data privacy, security, and compliance.
• Keep abreast of relevant technological developments and best practices, and proactively embed these into Dyson teams.

Cross-Functional Alignment:

• Connect the dots between IT, Business and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data insights across Dyson.
• Work closely with IT and Business Functions to plan data-driven initiative rollouts, drive user adoption, and provide ongoing support and training as needed.

Requirements:

• Leadership Expertise: Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary, cross-geographical teams with a strong focus on collaboration and results.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Software, Data, and Cloud Infrastructure. Experience with large-scale data systems, APIs, and creating data exchange workflows.
• Product Development Proficiency: Demonstrated success in integrating data products with physical product development lifecycles, preferably in consumer technology or engineering industries.
• Analytics & AI: Strong working knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies with hands-on familiarity in transforming raw data into business insights.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills to engage with teams across engineering, business, and executive leadership.
• Global Experience: Familiarity working within multinational, multi-cultural teams; comfortable with frequent travel between Singapore and the UK.
• Educational Background: Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in leading complex cross-functional, enterprise-wide initiatives cutting across multiple functions.
• Experience in IoT (Internet of Things) device ecosystems, telemetry, and capturing insights from connected products.
• Track record of delivering software and data projects, ensuring quality, security, and compliance.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, able to move quickly and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced innovation environment.
