Job summary

National University of Singapore’s Comparative Medicine unit seeks a Head of Imaging to lead a multi-modality imaging core supporting small and large animal research. Qualifications

• PhD, DVM, MD, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience in preclinical imaging.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in research, imaging, or core facility environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute imaging strategy aligned with institutional research priorities.
• Advance multimodal imaging capabilities across MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, optical.
• Partner with investigators on study design and imaging biomarkers.
• Drive application of multimodal imaging for longitudinal monitoring and biomarker development.
• Lead and optimize operations of imaging facilities, including scheduling and throughput.
• Oversee equipment lifecycle management and technology planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and animal welfare requirements.
• Embed 3Rs principles across imaging operations and research activities.
• Establish and maintain SOPs, QA/QC, and data integrity standards.
• Develop business cases for new technologies and sustainable cost models.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams; build partnerships with researchers and external partners.
