Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Science (AI/ML Imaging & Omics) to lead AI-driven biomarker analytics at our Biopolis hub in Singapore. You will develop imaging pipelines, integrate imaging with omics and clinical data, and drive translational insights to support drug discovery and development.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, rigorous validation, and publishing findings in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, Physics, or related field.
• Alternatively, MSc/BA with 5+ years of AI/ML research in medical imaging or biomedical data science.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML and image analysis techniques to analyze multimodal medical images and integrate imaging with omics and clinical data.
• Design, develop and validate AI-enabled imaging analytics pipelines, including segmentation, registration, feature extraction and parametric maps.
• Apply approaches to large-scale imaging datasets to derive robust and translatable imaging biomarkers.
• Formulate hypotheses, identify analytical methods, and interpret AI/ML findings to elucidate disease pathophysiology and support biomarker discovery and drug development.
• Contribute to study design based on analytical results and integrate imaging phenotypes with molecular data.
• Keep up to date with emerging AI/ML approaches and datasets to evaluate utility across disease applications.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and communicate results to multidisciplinary audiences; author reports and publications.
