Job summary

WSP (Asia) Limited is seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Design Manager to lead and coordinate delivery of complex data centre projects from concept through handover in Singapore. You will steer Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, ICT and BIM to ensure integrated, compliant designs that meet reliability, resilience, sustainability, programme and cost targets.

You will manage design teams, coordinate stakeholders, drive design delivery plans and oversee BoD documentation, with a focus on mission

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or equivalent preferred.
Formal project management qualification advantageous (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
Min. 10 years of multidisciplinary design experience.
Min. 5 years in mission critical facilities or data centre projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering hyperscale, colocation or enterprise data centres.
Experience managing large multidisciplinary consultancy teams.
Proven track record delivering projects exceeding 20MW IT load capacity.
Experience across concept, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
Strong understanding of Data Centre topology and redundancy strategies.
Strong understanding of mission critical electrical infrastructure, cooling, reliability, and BIM/digital delivery processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the multidisciplinary design team throughout all project phases.
Develop and implement design management plans, deliverable schedules and design review processes.
Ensure design solutions satisfy client requirements, operational needs and business objectives.
Drive technical excellence and design consistency across all disciplines.
Manage design risks, assumptions, constraints and interfaces.
Coordinate development of mission critical infrastructure solutions including power, HV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, data hall, ICT and security.
Facilitate Basis of Design documentation and ensure compliance with Tier, redundancy and availability.
Support certification strategies including Uptime Institute, TIA-942, Green Mark Data Centre and local regulations.
Act as primary design interface for clients and stakeholders; conduct workshops and reviews.
Monitor design programmes and ensure timely production of concept, schematic, detailed, tender and construction documents.
Lead BIM implementation and model coordination; promote digital delivery opportunities.
Support procurement, review submissions, and provide technical input during construction and commissioning.
