Job summary

UWCSEA Dover, part of UWC South East Asia, seeks Head of Junior Development - Aquatics to lead a dynamic junior aquatics programme from October with flexibility for the right candidate.

The role sits in the Sports Department and drives design, delivery and continuous development, bridging early water confidence to competitive readiness.

You will oversee lifeguards, coordinate with PE leads, manage logistics and safeguarding, shaping a progressive pathway for young swimmers.

Qualifications

• At least five years of large aquatic program experience.
• Minimum of 5 years as a swim coach/teacher.
• Lifeguard instructor qualification desirable.
• AustSwim Instructor or similar desirable.
• Up-to-date child safeguarding qualifications required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Suites; Swim Timing Systems.
• Knowledge of swim systems like Sports Engine & Meet Manager desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of an inclusive Junior Development aquatics programme.
• Coordinate Aquatics within the Physical Education curriculum with PE leads.
• Manage scheduling, communications and budget liaising with HOA.
• Establish efficient systems for administration and parent communications.
• Monitor programme effectiveness and ensure high delivery standards.
• Implement Learn to Swim framework across infant/junior programs.
• Oversee Lifeguards and support Aquatics leadership with schedules and training.
• Liaise with UWC Aquatics Service Lead for community service opportunities.
• Lead safeguarding practices for coaches within infant & primary squads.
