Job summary

RMA Consultants Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior façade engineering leader to drive design strategy and technical governance for complex international projects, bridging the Singapore office and China headquarters.

You will lead a façade design team, ensure compliance with Singapore standards, coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and fabrication teams, and provide site support and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Façade Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of façade engineering/design experience with leadership of design teams.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, SS EN standards, BCA/SCDF coordination.
• Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Tekla or BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of façade detailing, performance and construction implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead façade design delivery for complex projects from concept to construction.
• Provide technical oversight for façade systems, drawings, specifications and performance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore codes, standards and project requirements.

Job description

A senior technical and leadership role responsible for leading façade design strategy, technical governance, and multidisciplinary coordination for complex international façade projects. The successful candidate will serve as the key technical authority for façade engineering whilst bridging collaboration between the Singapore office and China headquarters.

• Working Hours: 5 days,9am- 6pm
• Salary Range: Up to 18000SGD

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead façade design delivery for complex projects from concept to construction.
• Provide technical oversight for façade systems, drawings, specifications, and performance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and fabrication teams.
• Support site activities, testing, technical reviews, and issue resolution.
• Manage and mentor the façade design team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Façade Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with minimum 12+ years of façade engineering/design experience, experience leading façade design teams and proven delivery of large-scale façade packages from concept through construction.
• Technical Background: Strong experience in concept, detailed and working drawings for complex curved, irregular, large-span, unitized or other high-complexity façade systems; sound knowledge of façade detailing, system selection and construction implementation. Ability to review fabrication, drawing and cutting list.
• Singapore Practice: Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, applicable Singapore Standards / SS EN standards, façade performance requirements and local approval/coordination processes. Knowledge of BCA, SCDF, and consultant coordination requirements.
• Performance Design: Familiarity with façade performance requirements including wind resistance, water tightness, air tightness, thermal performance, materials, and durability. Experience with testing, mock-ups, performance verification, or site issue resolution.
• Software: Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Tekla or other BIM/parametric modelling tools. Strong façade system detailing, node modelling and coordination capability.
• Leadership & Coordination: Experience in design-team management, technical review, design-subcontractor management and multidisciplinary coordination with architectural, structural, MEP and construction teams.
• Construction Support: Experience in site technical support, design changes, façade performance testing, mock-up review, fabrication and installation coordination.

• Strong technical judgement, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively between the Singapore team and China headquarters.
