A leading algorithmic trading firm is seeking a senior infrastructure specialist to take on a hands‑on leadership role as it expands into traditional financial markets.

Already an established digital asset market maker, the firm is growing its TradFi capabilities and needs infrastructure that can support new trading businesses. This is an opportunity for an experienced HFT infrastructure engineer to influence technical direction, own complex engineering projects and remain close to the technology.

The role

You will help shape and scale the firm’s trading infrastructure across physical servers, Linux systems, networks and data centres. The remit combines technical ownership with hands‑on delivery, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability and Python automation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving improvements across server, network and data centre infrastructure.
• Building Python tooling to automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring and operational workflows.
• Diagnosing latency, packet loss and system performance issues across live trading environments.
• Working closely with trading and engineering teams to support new strategies and the expansion into TradFi.
• Providing senior technical leadership across infrastructure projects and production troubleshooting.

What we’re looking for

• Previous infrastructure experience within HFT, electronic market making or a comparable low‑latency trading environment is essential.
• Strong Python skills, with experience building reliable infrastructure tooling and automation.
• Deep Linux expertise, including troubleshooting, performance tuning and server hardware.
• Strong networking knowledge across TCP/IP, switching, routing, exchange connectivity and colocation environments.
• Experience owning critical production infrastructure and making sound technical decisions under pressure.
• A senior engineer or technical lead ready for broader ownership, or an existing infrastructure head who wants to remain hands‑on.
