Job summary

The Health Promotion Board in Singapore invites applications for the role of Assistant Director, Operations Excellence & Programmes (Physical Activity). You will lead and develop the team to deliver its full range of workstreams, focusing on strengthening operational excellence and governance of department-led physical activity programmes.

You will translate strategic direction into integrated workplans, deploy resources, and ensure programmes are delivered safely, consistently and effectively

Qualifications

• A degree in Business or Operations Management, Engineering, Quality Management, Data Analytics, Economics, Public Health, Health Services Management, Exercise and Sport Science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• 7–10 years in operations excellence and programme management, including leading a team in multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver two portfolios: operations excellence and programmes, translating priorities into an integrated workplan.
• Set direction, organize the team, coach officers, monitor performance and manage risks.
• Establish governance, processes, controls and reporting across the programme landscape.
• Develop dashboards and reviews to monitor operational health and drive improvements.
• Oversee portfolio planning, capacity, budgets, timelines and vendor performance, ensuring delivery aligns with resident needs.
