Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports as required by pertinent laws, regulations and the Board.
  • Manage invoices, ensure prompt payment from customers and minimise outstanding invoice queries.
  • Implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor performance, funds flow, adherence to budget and costs.
  • Provide a strongly controlled financial environment compliant with local statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and present annual budget, financial plans and investment documents for Board approval.

Job Descriptions
  • To regulate, supervise and implement a timely, full and accurate set of accounting books reflecting all activities in a manner that adheres to with relevant legislation and regulation and subject to internal guidelines.
  • To timely, regularly and duly prepare and present financial statements and reports as required by
  • pertinent laws and regulations and as demanded by the Board.
  • Manage clean invoices, ensure prompt payment from customers and minimize the number of incoming and outstanding invoice queries from customers
  • To implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor performance, flow of funds, adherence to budget, expenditures, income, cost of sales and other budgetary items.
  • Provide a strongly controlled financial environment consistent with corporate and local statutory requirements
  • Support the Managing Director in the country managing the company and functionality within Singapore by ensuring a controlled and sound financial environment
  • Implement and comply with the Code of Ethical Business Principles, the Prevention of Fraud Policy and the Singapore Security Policy.
  • To prepare and present for approval of the Board, the annual budget, other budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, investment memoranda and all other financial and business documents.
  • Ensure that relevant key objectives and performance outcomes are promptly communicated at frequent intervals to all levels of management
  • Through regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement, agreeing action plans to ensure that ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken when there are deviations from budgets, forecasts and other plans
  • Provide helpful interpretative financial support and guidance thereby enabling the managing director and other managers to make profitable decisions
  • Create strong cash flow that helps the company achieve the vision
  • To alert the Managing Director and/or Board and warn for any irregularity, lack of compliance or adherence and problems, whether actual or potential, concerning financial systems, financial operations, financing plans, accounting, audits, budgets and any other matter of a financial nature of which could or has a financial implication.
  • To motivate staff in the team to achieve the realization of objectives by ensuring they are suitably experienced, qualified and trained. To encourage regular communication and recognition in order to foster loyalty and integrity.
  • Ensure all finance, administration and staff are equipped, trained, qualified, motivated, developed and empowered to provide high levels of satisfaction as measured in customer loyalty surveys
  • Create a positive environment where employees and the business unit can excel

  • To initiate and engage in all manner of activities, whether financial or other, conducive to financial health, growth prospects and fulfilment of investment plans.
  • Implement specific Singapore and sub-region countries’ finance projects together with other initiatives as agreed that help to produce profitable growth
  • Cooperate and maintain dialogue with colleagues in other business units thereby ensuring that the global ambitions of the organization are achieved.
  • Provide feedback to other managers about how practices can be changed to create improved customer satisfaction which includes ensuring that customer queries are systematically analysed and acted upon
  • Leadership & People Management
  • Steer, develop and motivate direct reports, in line with the global HR policies, individual and company’s objectives, to ensure the necessary quality and quantity of staffing for current and future needs.
  • Ensure compliance to HR policies
  • Initiate and execute Performance management process, including conducting performance appraisals and midyear reviews
  • Identify team and/or individual developmental needs/ opportunities and stimulate and ensure follow-up and execution
  • Demonstrate commitment to us by keeping the team committed to deliver the Business Vision, Mission and Values. Act as ambassador
  • Motivate, inspire, develop and engage all direct reports
  • Conduct people interactions timely, in a transparent, approachable and trustworthy manner
  • Communicate on strategy and business results on a regular basis. Engage dialogue to keep the communication flowing
  • Ensure realization of training programs in co-operation with HR
  • To ensure regular fortnightly credit meetings are conducted
  • Should endeavor to retain quality staff in line with our golden rules
  • Relationship Management
  • Cooperate with managers in other parts of the Group outside the country and always create value by acting in the best interests of when making decisions
  • Compliance and Internal Policies
  • Implement and comply with the Group Policies involving but not limited to health and safety and security procedures
  • Operate in accordance with all legal requirements and external regulations
  • Work with Regional Legal to ensure minimizable legal exposure upon critical decisions of the company
