Job summary

Stripe is seeking a senior communications leader for the APAC region based in Singapore. You will shape and execute strategies that protect and advance Stripe's reputation while driving growth in the Asia‑Pacific markets.

You will lead a team of APAC comms leads, partner with business teams and regional stakeholders, and mentor high‑performing colleagues to scale Stripe's presence in the region.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in communications or related fields.
• Stellar writing ability and strong storytelling skills.
• Deep knowledge of the APAC region, including Southeast Asia and/or India.
• Proven track record as a people manager and coach in corporate comms.
• Experience handling issues management and reputation programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the APAC communications strategy, covering Singapore, Southeast Asia and India.
• Develop and execute high-engagement campaigns that protect and grow Stripe's reputation.

About The Team

The Communications team builds and protects Stripe’s reputation and influence across the world. We’re looking for a highly entrepreneurial and creative professional to lead our regional communications as we grow our business across the Asia-Pacific region.

What you’ll do

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on. They’re an exceptional strategist, with a proven ability to synthesize a wide range of inputs and perspectives into an effective game plan. They’re entrepreneurial and pragmatic, enjoying the adrenaline rush of shipping ambitious projects at pace and keen to invent new approaches rather than reverting to the familiar. They have a deep understanding of regional issues and economic trends, and an understanding of how financial infrastructure drives growth. They’re an excellent manager and coach, able to accelerate the development of high‑performing colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Define and own our communications strategy for the APAC region, including our Singapore headquarters and Southeast Asia and India, building the right approach to support the growth of our users and of Stripe’s business in the region.
• Develop and execute creative, high-engagement communications initiatives. Use a first-principles approach to build creative campaigns that strengthen our reputation in the region and advance economic growth.
• Work closely with Stripe users and partners to infuse their voices into campaigns, news announcements, and other activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Stripe users, influencers, reporters, and opinion formers.
• Manage our team of APAC country comms leads, including our leads for Australia and New Zealand, Japan, and Greater China.

Who you are

Minimum Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant working experience in communications.
• Stellar writing ability.
• Deep knowledge of the APAC region (preferably including experience working across Southeast Asia and/or India).
• An excellent people manager and coach.
• Strong corporate communications experience, including issues management.

Location:

Singapore (currently residing, or willing to relocate). Sydney may be considered for a candidate with an extraordinary skill set.

This role requires regular in‑office presence to foster collaboration, connection, and team impact.

In-office expectations

Office‑assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in‑office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in‑person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is SGD 208,000 - SGD 312,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
