Job summary

You will steer under surveyors' direction, follow designated routes, and report issues promptly to Management and Clients.

Qualifications

• Valid MPA Helmsman/Steersman (Port Limit) licence or equivalent certification.
• Pass an approved eyesight test.
• Preferably with prior experience operating harbour or coastal vessels.
• Minimum Secondary 2 education.
• Comfortable and willing to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and operate the vessel safely, ensuring full responsibility for the vessel under your charge.
• Maintain, inspect, and upkeep the vessel to ensure it remains in good working condition at all times.
• Ensure all government-issued certifications and documents are valid and up to date.
• Steer the vessel under the direction of surveyors, following designated routes and operational instructions.
• Take instructions from Management and Clients, and promptly report any issues or operational concerns to the office.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management in support of daily operations.
