Job summary

Quantinuum in Singapore is seeking a motivated Quantum Computer Operations Engineer to operate and maintain an on‑premises Helios quantum computer as part of a global team. You will troubleshoot software and hardware, maintain configurations, and remotely support cloud-based quantum systems, contributing to software development for customer‑focused operations.

Candidates should have a physics/computer science background, 2+ years in software or R&D, and willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Two or more years of post-graduate experience in software development, software engineering, or R&D.
Experience with collaboration tools (version control, bug tracking) and general programming tools (debugger, profiler, testing tools).
Ability to communicate technical and non-technical content clearly in English.
Willingness to travel abroad for training or business needs; Singapore work authorization.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the on-prem Helios quantum computer as part of a small team.
Maintain software configuration and quality for the on-premises quantum computer.
Troubleshoot software and hardware subsystems to return the quantum computer to service.
Remotely operate and troubleshoot cloud-based quantum computers as part of a global team.
Contribute to software development in support of customer-focused operations.
