Job summary

Quantinuum seeks a Quantum Computer Hardware Engineer to operate and maintain an on-premises Helios quantum computer in Singapore. The role involves hands-on work with optical, mechanical, and electronic subsystems, executing maintenance plans, and collaborating with global teams to ensure optimal performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of lab R&D experience in physics or engineering contexts and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, or a hands-on Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of lab R&D experience building, validating, optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a complex scientific apparatus.
• Ability to communicate technical content clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain an on-premises Helios quantum computer as part of a small team.
• Execute maintenance plans for electrical, mechanical, and optical subsystems to maximize performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot hardware subsystems to return the system to service.
• Update and improve system maintenance and operations documentation.
• Collaborate with local and global teams on maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
