Qualifications

• Knowledge of read channel development, magnetic recording components or communication systems.
• Knowledge of laser assisted magnetic recording is advantageous.
• Familiarity with recording subsystems including heads, media and ReadWrite channel is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and evaluate HAMR LFA read channel for hard drives.
• Determine design algorithms and read channel parameter settings based on test time, areal density and robustness objectives.
• Perform integration testing and evaluate results.
