Job summary

GOCHISO ASIA HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. is seeking a guest-focused team member for its new Japanese restaurant. You will warmly welcome guests, guide them through the menu, take and serve orders, and help maintain a clean, inviting dining area.

Role requires strong communication, ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment. Flexible shifts, staff meals, and training are provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience to support effective guest interactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced startup setting to maintain service quality.
• Food hygiene safety certification, WSQ FSC L1, is a good to have but not essential.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the local region.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through menu options to enhance their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system to ensure smooth service.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
• Check in regularly with tables to monitor and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Process cash and card payments accurately to complete transactions efficiently.
• Set up, clean, and maintain the dining area before and after service to uphold hygiene and presentation standards.
