Job summary

AIA is seeking an actuarial professional to support Corporate Solutions in pricing, product development and portfolio management in Singapore. The role interfaces with senior management, Finance, Actuarial and Group Office to align pricing with business strategy.

Responsibilities include pricing for employee benefits, developing pricing tools, managing reinsurance submissions and contributing to profitability targets. Strong SQL, BI tool experience, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies / Mathematics & Statistics.
• 2–7 years actuarial experience in Group Insurance / Employee Benefits / Health Insurance with a direct insurer or reinsurer.
• Professional actuarial qualification with good progress towards designation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access).
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Quickview, Power BI).
• Proficient with SQL and at least one programming language.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and within a team; manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and Risk Assessment (60%) – determine pricing for employee benefits products per underwriting standards to maximize profits and retention.
• Product Development and Experience Analysis (15%) – develop new products and enhancements; refresh pricing assumptions and analysis.
• Reinsurance Management and Administration (15%) – submit reports for reinsurance and pool administration; review and analyze reinsurance treaties.
• Others (10%) – perform other duties to meet strategic, financial and operational goals.
