Job summary

Acclime is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Group Financial Controller to lead the Group Finance team. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee financial reporting, control and governance across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with finance leaders throughout the region.

The successful candidate will strengthen financial governance, drive process improvements, support mergers and acquisitions, and provide strategic financial insights to the Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CA essential.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including a senior Group Finance or Financial Controller role.
  • Proven multi-country financial reporting and consolidations experience.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
  • Experience with treasury, taxation and internal controls in an international org.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
  • Strong leadership of geographically dispersed finance teams.
  • Experience in professional services or PE-backed organisations is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management in English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and consolidate statements under IFRS.
  • Oversee treasury, liquidity management, tax compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning with senior finance leaders.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and modelling to support the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Group Finance team across regions.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions including due diligence and post‑acquisition integration.
  • Standardise finance processes and drive transformation initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Group Financial Controller to join our Group Finance team. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead the Group’s financial reporting, control and governance functions across multiple jurisdictions while partnering closely with finance leaders throughout the region.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial governance, driving process improvements, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and providing strategic financial insights to the Executive Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Control: Lead the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.Maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies and governance frameworks across the Group.Oversee statutory financial reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.Review complex accounting matters and provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams.
  • Treasury & Tax: Oversee the Group’s treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and banking relationships.Drive initiatives to improve working capital and cash conversion.Manage the Group’s transfer pricing framework and coordinate cross-border tax matters with external advisers.Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Planning & Business Partnering: Coordinate the Group’s annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to the Group CFO and Executive Leadership Team.Partner with business unit leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.Support strategic decision-making through robust financial modelling and analysis.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the Group Finance team while providing functional leadership to finance teams across the region.Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous capability development.Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Growth & Transformation: Support mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration.Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process improvements, automation and systems enhancement.Standardise finance processes and reporting across the Group to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Audit & Governance: Lead the annual external audit process and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory authorities.Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements.Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of financial risk management and internal control frameworks.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA or equivalent is essential.Big Four audit or advisory experience is highly preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including experience in a Financial Controller or senior Group Finance leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-country financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience overseeing treasury, taxation and financial controls within an international organisation.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Strong leadership experience managing geographically dispersed finance teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within a professional services, consulting or private equity-backed organisation will be highly regarded.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, acquisitive environment is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional Asian languages is an advantage.
