Job description

A leading regional financial institution is seeking an experienced Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer to lead its enterprise-wide Data, Analytics and AI agenda. Working closely with the Group CEO and senior leadership team, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s Data & Analytics strategy, strengthening foundational capabilities and accelerating the use of AI across the Group.

The organisation has already made significant investments in digital, data and technology and is now entering its next phase of transformation, with a focus on moving beyond traditional analytics and isolated use cases towards a more integrated, data-driven and AI-enabled operating model.

Responsibilities

You will define and execute the Group-wide Data & Analytics strategy and operating model, with responsibility spanning Data, Analytics, AI, Data Platforms and enterprise data transformation. You will work closely with senior business and technology leaders to identify high-value opportunities and translate strategic priorities into scalable solutions with measurable commercial and operational impact.

A key focus will be strengthening the organisation’s enterprise Data & Analytics foundations, including data platforms, advanced analytics, AI/ML capabilities, governance, architecture and operating models. You will assess where capabilities should be centralised versus embedded within individual businesses, ensuring the organisation can scale effectively while maintaining appropriate controls.

You will partner closely with the Group CEO, Board, senior executives and business leaders to align priorities, influence investment decisions and ensure Data & Analytics remains a core strategic capability across the organisation.

Requirements

You have a minimum of 20 years of experience across Data, Analytics, AI, Technology or Digital Transformation, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale Data & Analytics organisations within complex, regulated or high-growth environments.

You have successfully built, scaled or transformed Data & Analytics capabilities across multiple businesses or markets and are comfortable operating across both strategic and executional levels.

You are a commercially minded and highly credible senior executive with strong Board / ExCo presence and the ability to influence across complex organisations. Experience across banking, digital banks, fintech, payments, ecommerce, large-scale digital platforms or leading Data / AI organisations would be highly relevant.
