HSL Constructor Pte Ltd is seeking a Group Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will support consolidation, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and treasury activities across the group.
You will collaborate with local and overseas finance teams to ensure accurate, timely financial information, perform variance analysis and assist audits and regulatory reporting.
We are looking for a Group Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will support the Group’s consolidation, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and treasury activities.
You will work closely with local and overseas finance teams to ensure accurate, timely and consistent financial information across the Group, while supporting the Group Financial Controller on financial analysis, audits and other finance-related initiatives.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end Group consolidation and financial reports.
Prepare consolidation adjustments, elimination entries and intercompany reconciliation schedules.
Review financial submissions from local and overseas entities for completeness, accuracy and consistency.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities and follow up on outstanding accounting matters.
Perform analytical reviews of the Group’s financial performance and financial position, highlighting key variances and issues.
Prepare Group financial reports and supporting schedules for review by the Group Financial Controller.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of Group financial reports.
Monitor the Group’s cash position, cash movements and payment cycles.
Assist in preparing and maintaining Group cash flow forecasts.
Coordinate with subsidiaries on cash flow information, funding requirements and payment matters.
Liaise with banks on routine banking matters, documentation and reporting requirements.
Assist in the administration and monitoring of banking facilities and financing arrangements.
Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the Group’s annual budget and periodic forecasts covering P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
Coordinate with local and overseas finance teams to collect and consolidate budget and forecast information.
Support the continuous improvement of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.
Coordinate and provide support for Group and subsidiary audits.
Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory financial information and regulatory reports.
Monitor key reporting and compliance deadlines across the Group’s various jurisdictions.
Support the Group Financial Controller on finance-related projects and corporate initiatives.
Perform other ad-hoc accounting and finance assignments as required.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Group consolidation and financial reporting.
Experience in a Group accounting or finance environment involving local and overseas entities is preferred.
Good understanding of financial reporting, consolidation procedures, accounting principles and applicable accounting standards.
Experience in the construction or other project-based industries will be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and familiar with accounting or ERP systems.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) will be an advantage.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Hands-on and practical approach, with the ability to work closely with finance teams to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with Management, finance teams, auditors and other stakeholders.
Strong sense of responsibility, integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial and corporate information.
