Job summary

Seletar Country Club in Singapore seeks a Golf Operations Assistant to support daily flights and course operations. You will help manage flights, ensure golfers have paid fees, reflect names on timesheets, and handle routine safety and service tasks.

The role requires punctuality, teamwork, and a basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette. You will work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to maintain smooth play and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Min GCE O-Levels or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of golf operations experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong observation skills; safety-focused.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of golf rules, etiquette and course operations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load golf bags onto buggies and ensure golfers arrive on time.
• Verify golfers’ payments and check handicap details.
• Manage flights and course pace; rake bunkers, replace divots, repair ball-marks; ensure safety.
• Monitor and report irregularities on the golf course.
• Report infringements of local rules and byelaws to supervisor.
• Manage flights during inclement weather.
• Ensure buggies are charged, cleaned and functional.
• Oversee bag management for start and end of games.
• Report buggy defects and submit incident reports for accidents.
• Ensure sand canisters are filled and first-aid box is stocked.
• Maintain inventory of pencils, scorecards, tees, water.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by superiores.

Job description

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to

1. To ensure the correct golf bags are loaded onto the buggies, golfers arrive on time for their flight, the names of the golfers are accurately reflected in the timesheet and any other arrangements necessary for the smooth flow of the golf flights.
2. To ensure that guests have paid their golfing fees and check on the handicap details.
3. To manage flights in the golf course in accordance with the pace-of-play and ensure that golfers rake bunkers, replace divots, repair ball-marks and always observe safety.
4. To monitor and report any irregularities on the golf course which might affect play.
5. To report to the Chief Marshal/Executive, Golf Operations of any infringement of local rules and byelaws by golfers.
6. To manage flights’ proceedings during inclement weather.
7. To ensure that the buggies are properly charged, cleaned and in working condition.
8. To ensure that the golf bags are correctly managed for golfers’ start and end of their golf game.
9. To report on any buggy defects and to submit incident report form for buggy involved in any accidents.
10. To ensure the sand canisters in the golf course and the buggies are filled.
11. To ensure that the first-aid box is sufficiently equipped.
12. To ensure that the sufficient level of inventories of pencils, scorecards, wooden tees, 100-plus & mineral water.
13. Notwithstanding the above, you are expected to carryout other duties assigned by the Superior

Requirements:

1. Min GCE O-Levels or equivalent
2. Minimum 1 year working experience in golf operations, or similar roles.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with members and guests
4. Strong observation skills, service-oriented and attentive to safety.
5. Able to work independently and as part of a team
6. Basic knowledge of golf rules, etiquette and course operations will be an advantage.
7. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
