Job summary

Rakuten Asia Pte Ltd, within Rakuten Travel Xchange, seeks a strategic Treasury leader to oversee cash management, FX hedging and budgeting for our global operations. You will partner with senior leadership to forecast cash flow, manage FX risk, and drive forecasting accuracy across a multinational business.

This role requires deep treasury expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate FX risk into actionable decisions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5–7 years in corporate treasury or finance with cash ops and FX risk.
• Deep proficiency in FX hedging (FX forwards), hedge accounting and monitoring hedge effectiveness.
• Experience with bank infrastructure projects (account concentration, cash pooling) and KYC/AML compliance.
• Strong analytical skills in P&L forecasting and budget variance analysis.
• High-level proficiency in Excel and Treasury/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to present insights to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and weekly cash operations; communicate with banks; manage FX exposure timing.
• Review P&L forecasts; prepare management commentary; support annual budget cycle.
• Lead execution of FX hedge program; monitor hedge effectiveness; update hedge policy.
• Manage relationships with FX providers and banking partners; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report FX risk positions to Finance Manager and senior management; provide data-driven insights for growth.
