Job summary

HSBC Singapore invites applications for the Transaction Banking - Global Trade Solutions Internship. This 10-week, full-time program starts May 2027 and offers hands-on exposure to trade finance, risk management, and client operations.

You will rotate with a dedicated team, learn how global trade flows are supported, and contribute to daily banking tasks, data analysis in Excel, and compliance checks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Be available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing May 2027
• Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent, as shown on your official university transcript/degree certificate)
• Expected to graduate between November 2027 and July 2028

Responsibilities

• Learn trade cycles, payments, documentation, and risks.
• Watch deals come to life from start to finish.
• Assist with risk management and sanctions checks.
• Support operations underpinning global trade, such as Letters of Credit.
• Analyze data in Excel and assist with reports.
• Prepare and maintain records of trade transactions, timelines, and currency movements.
