Job summary

Markel is seeking an experienced credit analyst to join a focused underwriting team in Singapore. You will service a portfolio of commercial and financial institution clients, performing financial risk analysis and country/sector evaluations.

The role involves collaborating with teams in Dubai and London, maintaining in-house systems, and supporting special projects while progressing toward portfolio development with internal training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in credit insurance, trade finance, or a rating agency as a financial/credit analyst.
• Experience with multi-buyer trade credit programs; Excess of Loss and Structured Trade Credit knowledge a benefit.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and financial analysis including interpretation of financial information.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small underwriting team to provide operational and administrative support.
• Service a portfolio of commercial and financial institution clients.
• Perform financial analysis of buyer risks including country and sector analysis.
• Coordinate with Dubai and London offices for cross-office engagement.
• Maintain and develop in-house systems and databases.
