Markel Corporation is seeking a credit risk analyst to support underwriting operations in Singapore. You will assess buyer risks, analyze financial statements, and support servicing for a diverse portfolio of commercial and financial institution clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in credit insurance, trade finance, or rating agency as financial/credit analyst.
• Experience with multi-buyer trade credit insurance programs is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis and interpretation of financial information.
• Good knowledge of regional economies and geo-political events affecting business.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small underwriting team to provide operational and administrative support.
• Servicing a portfolio of commercial and financial institution clients.
• Conduct financial analysis of buyer risks including country and sector analysis.
• Coordinate with Dubai and London offices.
• Maintain and develop in-house systems and databases.
• Engage with business partners including clients and introducers.
• Contribute to the Asia TCPRS portfolio development.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc duties as required.
• Aim to progressively take responsibility for portfolio development with internal training.
