Job summary

KLN Logistics Management (Asia) PTE. LTD. seeks a senior professional to drive volume growth, improve yields, and strengthen carrier engagement across Asia–Europe & Asia–LATAM trades.

You will lead Trade Managers, Specialists and Analysts, collaborating with country teams and ocean carriers to deliver profitable growth. The role requires deep knowledge of global ocean freight markets, negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a complex, international matrix.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Ocean Freight, Trade Management, Carrier Management, Pricing or Commercial Management.
• Strong understanding of global ocean freight markets, carrier dynamics and assigned trade lane development.
• Proven ability to support business growth, yield improvement and trade profitability.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing or coaching small teams in a regional or international environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization with country, regional and functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial performance and development of assigned global ocean trades.
• Develop and execute trade development plans aligned with the Global Ocean growth agenda.
• Drive sustainable volume growth, GP improvement and trade competitiveness across assigned trade lanes.
• Support countries in building local trade plans, target account focus areas and growth initiatives.
• Identify emerging trade flows, market opportunities and high-growth customer segments.
• Manage carrier relationships and procurement activities relevant to assigned trades.
• Support carrier negotiations, rate discussions, capacity planning and service commitments.
• Drive yield enhancement initiatives across assigned trade lanes.
• Provide pricing guidance for major RFQs, tenders and strategic customer opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop assigned Trade Managers, Specialists and/or Analysts.
• Focus: Asia–Europe & Asia–LATAM Trades.
