Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an Operational Buyer to manage material purchasing and NPIs, ensuring on-time delivery and cost targets. You will coordinate with planning, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize material flow and inventory while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires a degree with mechanical engineering background and 0–3 years in global sourcing, with SAP experience and strong communication skills to drive effective supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with mechanical engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Request and analyze quotations.
• Negotiate prices based on open calculation, lead time, landed cost, and total cost.
• Disposing and ordering material for NPIs according to demand in the ERP system (SAP).
• Close cooperation with the local planning department.
• Issuing POs related to quotations.
• Work with suppliers to resolve escalated issues and seek alternatives when needed.
• Support NPIs and collaborate with global SSM and Asia teams.
• Hand over engineering change requests to suppliers.
• Prepare analysis to support sourcing strategy and planning.
• Improve quality across the supply chain with involved departments.
