Taylor Root is looking for an experienced Sanctions Counsel to advise on international sanctions and export controls. You will monitor regulatory developments, conduct risk assessments, and support management with policies and procedures across global trading activities.

You will review KYC issues, provide guidance on anti-corruption laws, and design tailored training to promote a culture of compliance within the organization. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Law degree is required.
• Admission to practice law in a recognised jurisdiction is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to develop compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on international sanctions and trade restrictions affecting global trading activities.
• Conduct sanctions risk assessments and support periodic reviews of sanctions controls, policies, and procedures.
• Review and elevate sanctions-related KYC issues, counterparty due diligence matters, and transactional screening alerts.
• Provide expert guidance on trade sanctions, export controls, and anti-corruption laws.
• Keep abreast of evolving trade controls and compliance-related risks, and proactively communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Design and deliver tailored compliance training programs on trade compliance matters to foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
