Job summary

Achieve Group is seeking a Refining Analyst to join its market analysis team in Singapore. The role focuses on the refining segment of the global oil supply chain, delivering short- and long-term views on capacity, margins and product balances.

You will work with internal commercial stakeholders to translate market fundamentals into practical insights that support business decisions. A background in economics, engineering or related fields and experience in oil refining are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Experience in oil refining or refined-products market analysis or energy consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of global fuel-product markets including biofuels and alternatives.
• Experience using linear programming models to forecast refinery yields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Track global refinery capacity developments and maintain a global refinery database.
• Analyse refining economics and forecast refinery margins, product yields and output.
• Monitor crude and refined-products markets and assess implications for balances and demand.
• Prepare market outlooks, reports and presentations on refining trends.
• Analyse biofuels and energy-transition impacts on refining markets.
• Support scenarios and ad hoc research for commercial and asset stakeholders.
• Refine research methods and forecasting approaches as market dynamics evolve.
