Job summary

PetroChina International (Singapore) is seeking a capable analyst to analyze refinery operations, performance, and financial data to drive decision-making and improve efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, the refinery, and external stakeholders, including government agencies, on all refinery matters.

The ideal candidate has a chemical engineering degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in plant operations, process engineering, projects engineering and/or technology role is preferred.
  • Good understanding of chemicals, petroleum and/or oil refining business would be an added advantage.
  • Possess good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Possess good analytic and problem solving skills.
  • A good team player with strong personal initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Routine refinery performance and expenditure monitoring & management reporting. Support annual business planning & monthly financial closing
  • Identify business and investment opportunities that leverages off existing refinery asset for advantaged value creation
  • Support the delivery of robust investment opportunities that are in line with SPC’s strategic and investment requirements. This involves participation in investment opportunity shaping and project development activities (including project feasibility studies, process configuration reviews and technology evaluation etc.)
  • Carry out investment valuation modeling, support project prioritization efforts and performance monitoring
  • Support contracting and sales of refinery products and purchase of utilities & feed-stocks
  • Establish a strong relationship with stakeholders including suppliers, customers, partners and government agencies
  • Ensure timely preparation of Chinese reports in line with HQ reporting standards
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, good understanding of refinery operations, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
