in Singapore seeks a Market & Risk Analyst to join the Economics & Scheduling team at Bukom, analyzing oil market trends, price movements and risk exposures to support commercial, optimisation and hedging decisions for the integrated petrochemical complex. This role collaborates with Commercial, Planning, Operations and Finance to optimise margins, pricing and product value, using benchmarks from Platts, ICIS, Argus and ICE to drive informed decision-making

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Approx. 5 years of relevant oil markets experience preferred (petroleum products, trading analytics, or price risk management).
Strong understanding of oil market fundamentals and pricing benchmarks.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI).
Ability to communicate complex findings and work with stakeholders across departments.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyse short to mid-term oil market developments (crude, products, base oils, bitumen).
Prepare market updates, dashboards and reports translating markets into insights for planning and optimisation teams.
Support hedging recommendations and link market fundamentals to refinery economics and margins.
Track pricing and risk exposures across physical and derivative positions for visibility of movements.
Maintain pricing data and benchmarks using sources like Platts, ICIS, Argus and ICE.
